One key to achieving this goal is to tailor packages to the minimum necessary size, depending on their contents. We have already celebrated success with our customers in this area with our Vario 558<\/strong> volume reducer.<\/p>\n

Another innovation has now been realized with the help of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Economic Development Fund: the automatic creasing of shipping cartons.<\/p>\n

This development enables users to minimize all their shipping cartons to the exact height of the product inside. A robot-guided, specially developed tool automatically embosses a groove in the cardboard, which is then used to fold down the lid flaps so that the carton is exactly the same height as the packaged goods. Users no longer need to stock countless box sizes\u2014one size that can be adjusted in height is sufficient. Integrated into the Vario 558<\/strong> volume reducer, this creates an intelligent packaging line for the efficient packing of shipping parcels, eliminating the need for packaging materials such as paper or bubble wrap. And all this for flexibly changing box formats.<\/p>\n
