Optimal protection of goods is a priority for every shipping company.
Making this protection resource-efficient and environmentally friendly is a major task that OPITZ has taken on in collaboration with Clausthal University of Technology, the University of Göttingen, and SNIC. As part of this collaboration, a machine has been developed that fully automatically detects empty spaces in shipping packages and fills them with the optimal amount of filling material using a robot. The first system will be delivered this April.
