PACKAGING WITHOUT EMPTY SPACES: OPITZ DEVELOPS FULLY AUTOMATED PACKAGING MACHINE WITH UNIVERSITIES AND SNIC
Optimal protection of the goods is a priority for every shipping company.
Designing this protection in a resource-saving and environmentally friendly way is a major task to which OPITZ has dedicated itself in cooperation with the Clausthal University of Technology, the University of Göttingen, and SNIC . In the course of this cooperation, a machine has been developed that detects cavities in the package fully automatically and fills them with the optimum amount of filling material with the help of a robot. The first system will be delivered this April.
